Marty Munger is the Co-Founder of Work Ethos, where she helps leaders build high-capacity teams by understanding how people are naturally designed to think, work, and contribute.
With a background in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and more than a decade of experience in recruiting, hiring, leadership development, and organizational consulting, Marty has worked with organizations ranging from entrepreneurial startups to established companies seeking to improve execution, leadership effectiveness, and team performance.
After years of seeing this pattern play out across organizations, she helped develop the Work Ethos frameworks — including Work Intelligence Index® and Work Style DNA™ — helping leaders understand the unique capacities people bring to work and how those capacities shape collaboration, decision-making, and execution.
Her work focuses on helping organizations move beyond personality assessments and instead understand the deeper patterns that determine how people create value at work. Known for making complex organizational psychology practical and engaging, Marty equips audiences with actionable strategies they can immediately apply to their teams.
Two adaptable topics for workshops and events, plus Marty's signature keynote — each built to give audiences frameworks they can apply the moment they leave the room.
Every leader thinks they know their team. Few actually do. They know job titles, not how people think. They know skill sets, not what drains someone or draws out their best work. That gap is quietly costing organizations their best ideas, their retention, and their performance — and most leaders don't even know it's happening.
Marty teaches the concepts of Work Intelligence Index®, our proprietary IP that gives leaders a real, practical way to finally understand the people they lead instead of just managing them.
Most execution problems get blamed on the wrong things — not enough talent, not enough hustle, not enough accountability. But the real cause is usually simpler: people are being asked to work in ways that don't match how they're naturally wired to execute. A decisive person gets buried in process. A detail-driven person gets rushed past quality. A steady operator gets thrown into constant chaos. The result is teams that look capable on paper but consistently underdeliver in practice.
Marty gives leaders a practical way to align roles, expectations, and workflows to how their people actually execute, so teams can stop quietly working against themselves.
Purpose isn't something you discover once — it's something you intentionally reinforce throughout your career. And it isn't abstract: purpose is what happens when your inner wiring is aligned with your work. When the natural capacities that make up your Work Intelligence Index® — how you think, connect, and act — are actually being used the way they're designed to be used, that alignment is purpose.
This keynote connects the dots back to Work Intelligence Index®, helping leaders recognize when that alignment is happening, notice the moments that strengthen it, and build practices that protect it — even during seasons of stress, uncertainty, and change.
